In early March we rolled out the Faculty Awards Portal to two departments in Engineering and gave members of their awards committees access to the tool. The initial goal is to enter “Nomination Plans” for the faculty in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

The current functionality includes:

• Report on all the national awards won by Cornell Faculty (data is from Academic Analytics)
• Allow chairs assistants and other users to enter faculty “nomination plans”, lists of awards desired and the timeframe they anticipate going up for them. There are reports showing the nomination plans submitted.
• Of course there is a lot of functionality under the hood, access control, single sign on with your cornell ID, integration with Workday and Academic Analytics, etc.
